I believe in the inexorable power of narrative, storytelling, research, and good writing to convey ideas and define who we are. Putting words to our world is fundamental to being human.
Writing, long or short, has always been foundational to who I am. I live in New York City, where I have worked in communications, copywriting, and academics. I have over a decade of experience writing for diverse audiences, including marketing, journalism, and scholarship. I’ve had the opportunity to work and write for prestigious agencies, some of the globe’s largest companies, and some of the leading academic institutions in the world.
I have a PhD in theology and social ethics. I have published a book about constructive theology, a contemporary movement in academic theology, alongside several articles in the field. As a result, my writing is always guided by understanding people’s deepest values, beliefs, and mythologies (meaning stories and narratives that capture our most definitive understandings of the world around us), as well as what constitutes an understanding of what’s right and good. I have training in finding relevant information, understanding it, analyzing it, and explaining it accessibly.
My experience in research and broad background in writing translates to effective, targeted, meaningful content with efficient technical understanding and accessibility, rooted in storytelling, narrative, and values.
